Welcome to our private primitive campground! To ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable, and respectful experience in this pristine environment, please carefully review and adhere to the following rules and regulations.

 

1. Leave No Trace

  • Pack In, Pack Out: Everything you bring into the campground must be taken out with you, including all trash and waste.
  • Personal Toilets Required: All campers must bring their own personal camping toilets. The use of public or communal facilities is not available.
  • Human Waste Removal: All human waste must be removed from the property. Please use biodegradable bags in your personal camping toilet and take them with you upon departure.

2. Campfires

  • Fire Safety: Fires are only permitted in designated fire rings or portable fire pits. Never leave a fire unattended, and ensure it is fully extinguished before leaving.
  • Firewood: Use only locally sourced firewood or downed wood on the property to prevent the spread of invasive species. Do not cut or damage any trees or vegetation on the property.

3. Respect for Nature

  • Wildlife: Observe wildlife from a distance. Do not feed or disturb animals. This is their home, and we are guests.
  • Trail Use: Stay on designated trails at all times. Do not create new paths or disturb the natural environment.
  • Flora and Fauna: Leave plants, rocks, and other natural objects as you found them. Do not pick flowers, cut trees, or collect natural souvenirs.

4. Noise Levels

  • Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please respect your fellow campers and the surrounding wildlife by keeping noise to a minimum.
  • Music: If you wish to play music, please do so at a low volume. This is a place to enjoy the sounds of nature.

5. Pets

  • Leash Requirement: Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. This is for the safety of your pet, other campers, and wildlife.
  • Waste Removal: You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet. All pet waste must be removed from the property along with your human waste.

6. Check-In/Check-Out

  • Check-In: 2:00 PM. Early arrivals must be pre-approved by camp management.
  • Check-Out: 12:00 PM. Please ensure your campsite is clean and all waste has been removed before departure.

7. Emergency Procedures

  • Emergency Contact: A list of local emergency contacts will be provided upon arrival. Please keep this information accessible.
  • First Aid: Carry a personal first aid kit and be prepared for outdoor emergencies. The nearest medical facility is approximately 20 minutes away.

8. Prohibited Activities

  • No Hunting or Fishing: Hunting and fishing are not permitted on the property.
  • No Motorized Recreational Vehicles: To preserve the natural environment and safety of everyone, the use of ATVs, UTV’s, dirt bikes, or other motorized recreational vehicles is strictly prohibited.
  • No Drones: The use of drones is not allowed to maintain the privacy and tranquility of the campground.

9. VEHICLE ACCESS AND PARKING (5 mph while on the property)

  • *Risk and Responsibility: By accessing the property, you acknowledge and agree that the owner is not liable for any damage of any kind to your vehicle while on the property, including but not limited to, while using the logging trails. You assume full responsibility for your vehicle and any risks associated with driving on these natural, unimproved paths. All vehicle use on the property is entirely at your own risk, and the owner shall not be held responsible for any incidents or damages that may occur.
  • Easy Parking Areas: Vehicles can park along the road in designated areas within the gates and pack to their site. Please ensure you park safely and avoid blocking the road for other guests.
  • Caution on Logging Trails: If you would like to drop your gear at your site and then park in designated parking. Please use caution and remember the logging trails serve as biking and walking paths. Please drive cautiously when using these trails to reach your campsite for drop-off. We make every effort to maintain them, but driving on them is at your own risk.
  • 4×4 Vehicles: If you have a 4×4, you may drive closer to the campgrounds and park in designated areas. These areas are marked to minimize impact on the trails and natural environment.
  • Overland Self-Contained Campers: Overland self-contained campers are welcome to camp in any suitable location on the property. We show great areas on the map, if your more aventurous go for it, but parking will be tough. Please choose a spot that minimizes environmental impact and does not block logging roads or trails.

10. Respect Other Campers

  • Privacy: Respect the privacy of other campers. Do not enter another campsite without permission.
  • Shared Spaces: Be courteous in shared spaces, such as trails and fire pits, and clean up after yourself.

11. Weather Awareness

  • Stay Informed: Weather in the hills can change rapidly. Be prepared for sudden weather changes and plan accordingly.
  • Lightning Safety: In the event of a thunderstorm, avoid open areas and seek shelter away from tall trees.
